    Introduction

    After adding coal additive into the hearth of the coal-fired boiler, the ignition point of the fuel burning will decrease. So that the fixed carbon burns sufficiently, which improves the hearth temperature, reduces the grain loss and accelerates the heat energy exchange. Besides, the mixed gas formed by additive and water vapor, CO2 and SOproduced during the burning process participates in the burning, gives off heat, increasing the flame area, density and temperature, thus improving the heat exchange capability.

    Adopting high-pressure water mist fuel coal additive technology will make the mixing of additive and coal more uniform and the burning more sufficient, greatly increasing the burning efficiency. It has the following characteristics:

    1.     increasing the heat efficiency of the boiler by 8~15%

    2.     Saving coal by 10~25%, increasing the boiler temperature by 100~400℃ and the heat efficiency by over 10% as well as reducing the carbon content of the boiler slag by about 40% and the boiler slag by over 1/3.

    3.     Capable of improving the burning efficiency of the nonflammable faulty coal to that of high quality coal, fully utilizing the coal resources.

    4.     Increasing the oxygen content and supporting the combustion to extend the burning time of the coal, thus to make the burning more sufficient and reduce the fume output.

    5.     Improving the heat conduction efficiency and the boiler output.

    6.     Capable of decreasing the boiler fume emission to fix the sulphur and eliminate the flue gas, reducing the discharge amount of harmful gases like carbon monoxide and sulphur dioxide, thus to reduce the environmental pollution. The black grade of the discharged flue gas could be reduced to be less than 1 and the sulphur dioxide content could be reduced by 29.4%.

    7.     Capable of making boiler slag loose and the slag not coked.

    8.     Under the action of high-pressure water coal additive, ion exchange occurs, which turns the flue gas to be discharged into flammable water gas which participates in the burning. Actually it is to turn the flue gas to be discharged into new flammable energy. Meanwhile, it promotes the flame temperature to increase quickly which in turn makes the outer flame increase quickly, which greatly increases the flame length, density and area, thus increasing the boiler output, saving a lot of coal and reducing the discharge of fume and harmful gases in the hearth.

    Through the successful application of high-pressure water mist coal additive the following indexes can be reached:

    1. Coal saved: 10~25%

    2. Carbon Content of the Boiler Slag reduced: ≧40%

    3. Boiler Slag reduced: ≧1/3

    4. Discharge Amount of Sulphur Dioxide reduced: 29.4%

    5. Boiler Temperature increased: 100~400℃
